Terms, privacy and refunds

What you're buying
A license key for the wr1t3r web app at user.wr1t3r.app, for your own use on up to the number of devices stated at purchase. The app is sold as is, without any warranty that it will meet your needs or run without errors. Keep your own backups of anything important; your notes are plain files in your Dropbox, so any backup tool works.
Payments
Orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, sales tax and receipts. Their terms apply to the purchase.
Refunds
Every device gets a 14-day free trial before you buy. If you buy and it isn't working out, email hello@wr1t3r.app within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. A refunded key stops working.
Privacy
- Your notes go only between your browser and your own Dropbox. wr1t3r has no server that stores, reads or copies them.
- Dropbox access is limited to wr1t3r's own app folder (
Apps/wr1t3r). You can remove it any time in your Dropbox settings. - License checks send your license key and a device name (like "wr1t3r on iPhone") to Lemon Squeezy, about once a week.
- Lookups you ask for (a book or film title, a word's definition) send that search text to the public service that answers it, such as Open Library or Wikidata.
- No analytics, no ads, no tracking cookies. Your purchase details (name, email) are held by Lemon Squeezy and used only for your license and receipts.
